Nestled among Virginia’s rolling Blue Ridge Mountains, the University of Virginia sits at the heart of a wild and awe-inspiring landscape. Students in the University’s Outdoors at UVA club take advantage of every opportunity offered by their stunning surroundings.
This academic year, the club has led more than 280 trips, doing everything from sunrise hikes to weekend camping trips, rock climbing, skiing and much more.
Members say that their forays into nature help recharge them for their studies, often taking them to places where they unplug from the digital world and reconnect with the natural one.
